I think this is normal - unless there is loads.

When people get boost leaks due to loose fittings or split hoses they tend to spot them through the tell tale light spray of oil.

Just a little question about MAP sensor.

Does it have tp be in that exact place or can i move it a little closer to the inlet??
not too close obviously tho

Yeah oil in there’s normal, i had kittens when i changed my hoses and found oil in there.

Getting an oil catch tank eliminates this problem (if it is a problem) i think.

How long did it take? And was it easy enough to do? Im doing someone’s at the weekend and picking mine up from forge to do as soon as i give them some redies!

He's fitting a custom one tho which will take muchos longer as bumper trimming, etc will be required.

Forge one took me most of a day but i was going extremely slowly as i was a tad hungover at the time (day after the england match). It's easy tho, the hardest part for me was getting the bumper back on although it was easier on a previous leon so it might have just been mine.
Also when i looked at the instructions after i'd fitted it, i noticed that they say to remove lots of things on the left meaning the passenger side not the drivers. Also it'l be better to print your own instructions as they seemed to print the pics on a dot matrix or something on mine.
Top quality kit tho!

took me all day to fit mine as well...

the hardest thing i found was fitting the crash bar! the holes would just not line up! [:@] took an hour of persuasion to get that on!

a good tip for everyone fitting the forge LCR FMIC...

position all the jubilee clamps so you can gain access to them with the grills/fog lights out of the front bumper incase u ever need to check if the clamps are tight if u think u have a boost leak!

it will save you having to remove your front bumper by doing this!

yeah I was a little shocked aswell when I checked inside my Samcos + TIP to find quite a lot of oil. It's from the oil breather on the back of the TIP. I'm fitting a catch tank between the engine and the breather filter to hopefully reduce it. Going to take off all the hoses and clean them out before I do it so I'll know it it's helping. If the oil spray gets past the turbo and into the inlet it can reduce the octane of the fuel apparently, also you may get blue smoke as it's burnt off but I would imagine it would have to be a fair amount to to start doing that.

Other main concern os the oil dripping back down the TIP towards the MAF

i wouldnt worry about that as oil would have to go UP the TIP against the down flow of air!

oil in intercooler

hi just taken my intercooler off to replace sensor and found oil in it does this mean the turbo is on it why out mamy thanks sean

Just jacked my Cupra up to look at something unrelated, but noticed on the intercooler intake (I think ... bottom pipe) there's oil covering the jubilee clip (quite fresh as well) and there's signs of oil getting "sprayed" (though not high velocity spray) onto the plastic underside of the engine - anything I should be concerned about? Checked the oil level and it's right on the maximum of the dipstick where it's stayed since being serviced 9000 miles ago so I don't think I'm losing much oil but seeing as it's almost due another service be nice if there was something I could get them to check

When i was draining my gearbox fluid i removed the intercooler pipe work, was also a bit suprised to see oil in the pipework and coolers but cleaned them out and the car feels good and isnt using any oil so i think its fine but may invest in a catch tank.

Dont worry about a little oil or grease, if your turbo is about to or has shat itself, this is what happens... money shot towards the end, note the forge fmic had been sat cold.
