Driving to work today and oil light flashes up. Got to work and checked level and it was just the bottom 3mm of the dipstick with oil on it.
We put it on the ramps at work to have a look underneath and the bottom of the car is covered in oil.
We had a quick look and it seems to be coming from the oil feed pipe to the turbo or the top of the turbo. Which seems to fit with what others have said on the forum.

What I need it some guides to removing the turbo or just the pipe if possible so this feed pipe can be replaced. Would it be worth changing the turbo gaskets at the same time ??

Thanks

I would be suprised to find a gasket between the turbo and the manifold.
I suspect it would be better to remove the turbo and manifold together from the bottom of the car. Has to oild feed pipe cracked?

Hi Pal

Can't see if the pipe has cracked but when the car is running you can see the oil dripping down from near the oil feed pipe.
It looks so very tight around the turbo so a guide on how to remove the manifold would be very usefull.

Thanks

I know when I looked at my inlet with a view to removing it due to possible build up i thought flippin heck its a days work. But to be fair its not a difficult job. With regard to a guide if you are going to tackle it yourself you may need a descent compliment of tools as you know space is not at a premium but there is not that much to remove really. Just take your time if you are going to do it yourself. If you do when its all back together make sure you crank the engine for at least 10 seconds before it runs so you dont do any damage to the turbo bearing.
Wish i could help you more but I have not done mine yet!

I have used them before and they are a nice bunch so I should be o.k, cheaper does sound good but it's way too far to travel. Maybe I will get a discount from Awesome (hope they are reading :) )
