thanks i will write down that list and take it to the garage and give it to them and hopefully they will be able to sort it and not cost a fortune. if u dont mine me asking how much did it cost to fix yours

Mine was £238 which was for 5 hrs labour -( finding the problem and then fixing it) , oil and filter change and fuel filter (only got the fuel filter as mine hadn't been changed, it wasn't anyway related to the problem tho and thats where the £38 came from).

I know someone who works at the garage so although it was done through a dealer, mine was cheaper than it should have been.

Hi Liam. I cant see the oil being the problem itself.
I had the same problem with my car. I solved it by buying a new oil switch. It only cost €10 and I fitted myself it was that easy. Cant be certain but it seems to sound like the problem I had.

Hi
I have Seat Ibiza 1.2 2003 I’m getting a low oil pressure reading when engine oil is at peak temperature. Three beeps and oil light flashing red. I have taken the car to the seat garage where they confirmed my car was low on oil pressure. They said ‘oil pressure is low, 1 bar at 2000rpm, when should be 2 bars at 2000rpm’. They suggested using thicker oil. So here is what I have done to try and fix the problem.
• Change oil from 5w-30 to 5w-50
• Change oil pressure switch
• Reset service timer
• Change oil pump
• Had the car serviced
None of these have resolved the problem. I have been driving the car for several months now and this problem has not affected the way the engine is running. This problem is starting to get on my nerves, can anyone suggest how to fix the problem? Or stop the oil pressure warnings?

experiencing similar issue here, oil light comes on and bleeps as soon as you go over 2k rpm, red flashing oil can stays on, the car has done this since owning and was told it's a sensor. Oil level is perfect, I changed the oil and filter on saturday which was well needed by the look of it. I think I'll try a pressure switch for starters and check the breather pipe, I think it'll be a case of trial and error.

Many thanks for the info^^
