oil pressure warning light

hi my oil light just came on , i have checked the oil level and is fine and no obvious leaks . any one have any ideas ?

oil pump or strainer maybe

is this a common fault ? would a oil flush help if it is the pick up pipe (strainer)

Yep I was just going to say blocked oil strainer.

Sump off to sort.

oh bugger time to get my hands dirty then . is that from the dealers ? and do they stock it and sump gaskets?

how am i ment to know if your local dealer has one is stock? bit of a silly question mate

check sensor first... if oil pours out of it its the sensor..
no knocking or rattling i presume?

had sensors fail on me..

Nothing out of the ordinary sound wise no. You mean the oil level sensor is this the one bolted on the bottom of the sump?

mine was the oil strainer it was chock ablock with carbon & crud
