Need some 14" (has to be 14" cos mother has made me declare them and any larger than standard and its another £300!!!) black alloys - preferably 5 spoke or close to that.

Im only 17 and am on a budget of around £300-£350 but for that price would need to include tyres!

Cant find any anywhere as the Fox FX1 Black with red lip are now not being sold and i would have loved them!

Thanks in advance and please help me get the crappy trims off for new alloys!

£300 extra for alloys, dont think thats right somehow, i put 17's on when i was 17 and insured them alright, alloys are alloys no matter what size, u would need to declare alloys no matter if the 14" 15" 16" 17" 18" , just classed as alloys.....put on locking wheel nuts that will bring it down, wouldnt go wasting ur money on 14" wheels, they will look shi**, just buy some nice n decent ones and either dont tell ur insurance or do a requote coz that aint right. plenty of peeps on here put the bigger wheels on when they just passed and no probz, i have been driving over 2 years now and had no probz

I've heard Quinn to be dodgy Irish B******'s.

I'm with LV & i'm not even considering declaring my Alloys, my audio equipment is more than they cover also.

If in the event of a crash, i would just get a mate to give me a lift over & we would strip the car bare.

Im with admiral, i asked if putting alloys on would increse my premium and the said yes, it was a extra 10 quid a year approx, cant see how they can justify a extra 300

Yeh anything will look better than steelies, im hating the look, but so much salt on the roads, dont want to risk my alloys. It is costly. What type of rim you looking at?

I know that you can get some team dynamic alloys with tyres for about 300. Would depend if you liked the styles tho

listen bud DO NOT PAY £300 for 14" alloys, not worth it....i would rather run on steelies than do tht, but either 16s or 17s do not get 14s, u still need to declare them, insurace dont care on size, if u buy alloys that are the same as standard size alloys U STILL NEED TO DECLARE THEM!!!! so they will charge u £300 anyways for 14", heres ur options in black and white

.pay silly money for tiny wheels=300 to insure
.buy bigger alloys = 300 to insure, (but ur happier with nice rims)
.dont buy alloys=save 300= :(
.change insurance+buy rims=£50 tops to insure alloys
.dont listen to us and do what the hell u want (bear in mind we've been and done it)

not trying to sound harsh but seems ur missing the point here, gonna cost u 300 to insure no matter what size
