This might not be relevant, but I had a very similar problem on the Octavia a few months ago. It turned out the battery in the remote was very weak, and was only giving enough power to operate the central locking when it was pressed only the first time. Second and third presses didn't allow the remote to properly sync with the car.

Try a new battery in the remote before condemning anything. If the central locking is working on the door switch, there's nothing wrong with the control unit.

mine sometimes doesnt open the rest of the doors on a second press of the fob, works fine off the button in the car though. will be changing the battery to see if this helps at all.

getting the same problem. Was in the garage and they said the battery when low and they had to charge it, since then only the drivers door unlocks but all doors unlock ok from the button inside so just disconnecting my battery and waiting for 30 mins and see if that fixes it :D
