280 3dr Seat Sound and driver assist, I do the odd Trackday, so the sub 8 pack with pilots and buckets would be ideal. :). Bought this one ex demo toying with putting an order in for a sub for delivery next year

Yeah we were gonna order one we would have had it this week coming if we had! I've got a spare set of 8 pot brembos off my Rs4 I'm gonna try fit

Second track day in the Cupra today, 192 miles around Oulton Park, 13.4mpg about 70 laps was trying to run to the flag but hit a range of 5 miles and it seemed to be using around 5 miles of fuel per lap so had to come in a couple laps before the session ended.

Did some long stints today quite impressed with how the brakes stood up, lap after lap the same consistent braking performance, first of all the cars I've used on track and even those with upgraded brakes (though I've never had a BBK on any car nor this one...yet), for me at least I am finding this a great car on track better than expected.

Today also my first wet (though not heavy rain) but some rain during the morning, treated the track and conditions with a respect, learn't a lot and the traction in the wet while pressing on is predictable and plentiful, obviously in places it will slip and slid as were any of the cars.

I had to tape out my DRL's as the track staff were a bit funny about it and it they said it could be seen as intimidation, there is no setting on the Leon to turn them off, the other thing the Leon has a static rev limiter so at the sound test you can't rev it to to the level they want for the sound test, it's quiet anyhow so they allow and check the drive by.

4K would probably be plenty for a launch. In terms of catching the powerband with a bit of clutch slip. Unless my understanding of the engine and transmission systems isn't quite on the ball.

Autoexpress got 5.5 to 60 using LC on a tight Cupra SC 280, have seen 5.1 in another mag on a run in 280, mind that so far every Cupra 280 put on a dyno has had between 295 - 300bhp as stock, I'm not surprised how quick it is.:D:D:D

Yeah they are brilliant to drive mate and very quick mine away on the rollers in the next week so will let you know what it makes stock

Be interesting what it acheives, it does feel a quick little car, I'd like some stickier rubber for the track so probably going to fit some Pilot Sport Cup 2's that they put on the Sub8.

They must be dipping slightly under the 13 second to a ton mark. Very nice.

I did some testing using a VBOX when mine had about 3k on the clock. Outside temp was 24degrees, I had near a full tank of Vpower and mine is a FAT 5dr,DSG with sunroof.

I recorded back to back times of 0-60 in 5.9 (I have recorded better 0-60 times since) and 0-100 in 12.3.

With about 5k on the clock I ran it at Santa Pod and got the following on my first two attempts with 3/4 of a tank of Vpower.

14.1 @106.6
13.79 @ 105.54 (2.53 60FT time so room for improvement)

Run 1 I didn't use launch control and took it easy.

Based on the fact that the VBOX showed 90-100 in 2 seconds, it would take at least 2 seconds to go 100-105/106 so again would have been 12ish 0-100.
