Hi all my temp senor is about 3 / 4 degrees out, reads colder than the outside temp is ( checked against other cars)
Is this sensor used to regulate how much fuel goes into the car in cold weather?
Iv noticed my mpg do down .
Iv got new maf too
If the car thinks its 3/ 4 degrees colder maybe its using more fuel or am I just talking poo?

if your refering to the temp displayed on the trip/air con then i dont think it effects engine temps/fueling etc

Once again, if its the outside air temperature indicator, the only thing it will do is to hold off your A/C compressor from delivering liquid to the evaporator until the outside ambient is about 10C (real temperature) - which is not really a big problem - is it?

Previous Ibiza had it mounted on the N/S door mirror - it poked down and out of the housing. Seems a bit like good common sense for all these VAG cars to have them mounted in the same place - I would not expect them to have come to an agreement on that - but you never know!

on my preface lift 1.2, my facelift FR and another members pre facelift FR they have all had the by the NS fog light
