hey all, been having a problem with my cupra this last few days.the engine management light abs light and tcs lights are comeing up on the dash.the cars started to overheat when it getting drove or even sitting at a stand still.

anyone help!!:(

are the fans coming on? mine started overheating last nite aswell, i only had the waterpump done about 5k ago. checked the fuse on top of the battery and it was just starting to melt. put in a new fuse, now i will just have to get a new fuse box etc.

other possible things are waterpump impellor broken
cooland temperature switch.

Agree with the above...check the fusebox on top of battery and then consider water pump failure.

cheers. got my car back yesterday.turns out it was the water pump and a sensor went. also goot the timeing belt done as it was starting to crack.all and all £220.is that an alright price?

what was your mileage? as im on 58k at mo so if yours was about that amount - will do mine now -

suprised your water pump went if its only done 5k - was the new pump you just had fitted metal propella one?

close call with the cracking belt mate!
