vagcom to check

Anyone know how to check, I have full version of VCDS, but it doesn't seem to see the parking senor system. I'm new to it, but have an issue with mine too, have replaced what I thought was a dead sensor, and now can't get it to work with new or used sensors.?

I'm in exactly the same predicament with my '03 model, and I've drawn a blank, VAGCOM doesn't see a controller for it and despite a new sensor being fitted, the error tone comes up everytime I select Reverse or push the parking sensor button on.:(

Would love to nail this issue once and for all, can we get our heads together to sort it?

I believe you can check the sensors by engaging reverse and putting your ear to the sensor - you should hear a clicking sound - no click equals failed sensor or break in that sensor's wiring (the wires are only just long enough and age / vibration can cause them to fail)

Yeah, can hover your finger over the sensors and actually feel them pulsing, seems like mine may be a wiring issue, as I've swapped out known working sensors and it only appears not to work on one location, may need to be a bumper off job :(
