Hello everyone.

I am posting here because I have a couple of problems with my Leon but one of them is especially irritating. I bought the car brand new in January and it has already been four times to the dealer (mostly for problems with software) but they do not know how to solve it. The car has the smaller display, they say that it is updated to the latest version.

So the problem is that sometimes when I put into reverse the parking sensors and the rear camera are not working. The error displayed is "Park function is currently not available". I believe that the sensors are clean enough at that time and they are not damaged, the weather is also dry (no rain or snow etc.). The catch is that the error can happen several times in one week/day or sometimes the car is fine for more than a month. In some occasions when the error pops up also the error "Manoeuvre braking currently unavailable" is shown. I have the feeling that the dealer will not be able to solve this so I really hope that one of you could help me with advice on what is wrong and what can be done.
Any thoughts appreciated.

so then you can try to do a forced reboot on the radio or disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes

Thank you for your replies.
I assume these are temporary solutions? If you think that an OBD scanner can help me to find the cause of the problems and to find a permanent solution probably I will buy it.

Does the message only appear on start up?
Yes for me. I get the manoeuvre Braking Currently Unavailable, then parking distance control error when I stick it in reverse, on most startups. Then when I turn car off and on again, the warnings go

Suggests to me an issue with the 12v battery but have had a health check done by Kwik Fit who said the charge was a little down but otherwise in good health.

Wearing me down now!

Do you have any diagnostic scans from your car with the software IDs on?

Local Cupra dealer. Have had the fault for several years, appears worse in winter months but this spring its been dreadful. Been in the garage for diagnostics so many times, probably 6 or 7 under warranty. In the end the fault was logged with the factory, but I don't have a lot of hope.

read a lot Of replies on VW forums and here of course, generally saying its the 12v battery but its a costly fix if not the right one. Im open to anything right now!

It would seem the parking assist update doesn't show against your VIN but it might still be relevant. Without the part number or software version it's hard to say for sure though.

Which software version id do you need me to confirm, something i can find out or would I need the obd readout?
