Owned for 18 months, no problems, then during the bad weather, lots of water on local roads, broken road surfaces etc the parking sensors stopped working. Cleaned them all and tried WD40, still not working. Took it to local VW garage, they had a look and said it needed to go to SEAT main dealer (didn't charge anything). Took it to SEAT main dealer, charged £90 to say 2 sensors (1 front, 1 back) needed replacing. They also noted that a spray job had been done on rear bumper which had covered the sensors, didn't take much notice, they had been fine since we bought it. They have just replaced the 2 non working sensors charging £650, front parking sensors now working OK but back and side still not working. They have quoted £1000+ to replace remaining rear sensors because "that might fix it". I have no intention of paying £1000+ to replace working sensors with working sensors to see if it fixes it. Any other suggestions ?
