The strange thing is that all the other sills r pretty much dry but the drivers side front door is really bad so how would this cause the rear footwell 2 be soaked. I say this as the carpet isnt wet on the side that goes up to join the sill just on the floor so thts why it makes me wonder how its the back leaking?? but could the front drivers 1 cause it with the water runnin along down the plastic on the inside to the back?

When replacing the Door Caridge seal do you need any glue/silcone or does it just push on?

Hi there, i have similar problem with my leon as well, you seem to know a lot about it. I have noticed water leaking into my footwell from the passenger side, its appears to be coming down from the plastic cover in bottom corner near door. the plastic part that connects to the long plastic trim that goes down the bit near front and rear doors. looks like big chuck L shape, you know what i mean, well it got water running down that into the footwell. would this be coming from them crappy seal between the metal casing and the actual door or is this a sign of somewhere else, although build up of water does gather on sill when raining. also the drain holes of bottom of doors have had the rubber cut away that would usually cover the holes. does that make sense.

Could be the pollen filter cover not been put on properly, although someone did have a leak around that area and had to use silicone sealant.

i dont suppose you know what part to seal do you, its just i carnt see if its coming from the door bit leaking onto sill as water wouldnt travel that high up

ok thanks i will have a look, i took the scuttle panel of and removed filter that all seems fine and the drain hole to the right is clear. i got sum tiger seal so could use that once i find the cause of the leak. would sealing around the metal frame work appose to taking it of do you know on the door, i would of thought thae initial panel wouldnt be to much of a problem but the one behind it looks a bit of a fiddle. could i just seal that up???

If it is coming through the door carrier seal very easy to do it properly bit it as been said you can seal the edge where the carrier meets the door.
