It's cos u do a lot of short trips to work and back, doesn't get hot enough. Run it at about 2.5k revs for a good long blast up the a1 or something and let it do a full regen and then it should be fine as long as it ain't too far gone.

the light came on, on the way back from work when i saw you friday so i drove from caxton gibbet to histon and back a few times in 4th at 3k so probably drove like that for about half an hour and the light stayed on.

3k is slightly higher than optimum. I think it's 2250 -2500 is re range where it gets hottest. Sit at that (70 in 5th) the whole way up to Mansfield mate. If it ain't cleared then hopefully they can do a forced regen

I will give it a go mate, not driving the car until tomorrow now.

It shouldn't matter if the light hasnt gone out as they will be deleting the dpf and mapping it all out anyway.

Yeah I took the "s" badge off to paint it, just be careful when you put it back in as I scratched it all up so had to rub the lot down and start again.

Just got back from shark, will post some pics up tomorrow of my rr graphs

Got back from shark after an eventful day, Left the house at 6:45, drove about 10 mins down the road and the car went into limp mode not good with a 2hr journey.

Eventually got to shark around 9 not bad considering i had no power what so ever.

1st they put the sportlines on and had massive trouble getting my wheels off as they had bonded with the hubs, these have made so much difference to the handling!

Back

Then they carried out a baseline rr run without the dpf and obviously no longer in limp mode, the car made 195 bhp, ben realised the car had already been mapped and not very well (explains why it juddered and span up so much) after putting it back to standard it ran 173 bhp and 387 nm torque.

Then they started to map it the car made 202 bhp and 429 nm torque on stage 1

Then ben started on stage 2 as i am using their sts sytem so i can switch between stage 0,1 & 2 which made 218 bhp and 455 nm torque and is so smokey, it actually filled the whole of their workshop with black smoke, ben was saying when the injector recall was carried out they don't set them up properly so once i get them set up the smoke should nearly disappear.

The rear end this moring, think i will be running stage 1 every day now

A photo doesn't show how dirty it is, i will do a 50/50 shot when i clean it next

On the drive home the A1 was shut from Grantham so the diversion went up to melton mowbray then back to stamford which added another hour onto the journey home so ended up getting home at 10:15.

Really pleased with the results and has completely transformed the car over night.

Looks loads better on ur sport lines and the graphs look great! Had it made a difference to the noise having the dpf gutted or is it just power?

Not really any difference to the noise, still sounds like a tractor lol, its just the power that is diiferent it feels a lot faster but its smooth with it.

Is that standard exhaust? those exhaust tips seem really small? Mine fill the holes.

Yeah its the standard exhaust, I am gonig to get a price from powerflow or somewhere similar to get the backbox taken off and new tips put on, take it your exhaust isn't standard?

Yeah, mine is standard but I think at some point in time Seat changed suppliers so later one is different. Think first ones were Remus and later made by Seat.

I found out when had small rear end hit which needed new bumper and exhaust, the repair company couldn't source the original part number so had to purchase the new part number. Looks loads better:

So I was happy :)

That looks loads better than mine! I do think its something that really lets the looks of the car down having such a tiny exhaust tips cmpared to the size of the cut outs for them plus no rear diffuser, I am hoping its not going to be to expensive to get the back box taken off and new tips put on so basically a straight through system.

Yeah, later back box looks great. I just need the DPF delete now but can't be sure about the cost.

You could just have new tips welded onto the current box.

You wont regert getting a dpf delete and remap done, just make sure you use a good company to do it.

If I get new tips welded on I might as well get the back box removed to free up any restrictions.
