PD130 vs PD160 injectors

If i look in ETOS for the partnumbers then they are both the same.
But now my tuner claims that the PD160 has different injectors.
It's hard to get my ibiza FR tdi over 200hp even with all my mods and this doesn't seem right to me .

What do you guys think about it...are they the same or not?

After doing my conversion from 100PD to 130PD injectors, I believe the 130 and 160s are the same. What I did find though was there is a difference between the VAG range of injectors. The Audi ones had a mod to theirs. How do I know? Well I originally got Audi 130PD ones installed and then I had a problem with No1 injector. Consequently we changed it with a 130PD Ibiza one, which caused it to run unevenly. After talking with Bosch, we got the info on the Audi injectors.

If your running is a 17/20 Allards hybrid then if the car is set up right you should be running closer 220bhp.

in theory spaniels logged his car the ofther week and his injectors were maxed out and is running 193bhp with same turbo as yours ibiza evo 2
redcupra tdi is running about 210 and has same injectors so is upto the map as well as to what you can get out of it!

He is running more boost than me also

I would say 193bhp is very wrong(as his 1/4 mile time would show)

My injectors are also maxed but I think my map can still be tweaked further

So the seat injectors are not the same as the audi ones

Well,at first i was running a 192hp and 376Nm.
My car is back at the tuner a few days for further adjustment.As i heard on the phone today they got it above 200hp but they think 220hp isn't capable with my injectors.

Well mine is going back as I want it tweaked

It's running well within the safe limit

FR and Sport are probably the same injectors.

My turbo is also the same as the allard vt2...it's not from allard but from a turbo company in Belgium and they said it's a vnt17/20.

spainel was not running right lots of smoke not enough power.

fez have you had your rolling roaded by someone apart from allards?? could still be the "tuners" figures as bloke on rr day siad that operatars can make any power @ the fly cos why you only got 316lbs/ft and where does the 225 peak?


anyway buy a cupra 160 tdi 350 quid = 205-210 bhp and 330lbs torque

376Nm (277,3 lbs/ft)with the hybrid
before the hybrid with only a map and Milltek 440Nm (324,5lbs/ft)

But the car is at the tuner now for further adjustment.At the phone today he mentioned that he gained a lot of torque.

Peak torque was 2768 rpm(which is almost the same with Vag-com)
193Bhp(at the wheels)

I have used this RR for my last 5 cars and on RR shoot out days the figures are spot on.

Apparently, and i mean APPARENTLY, ive heard through 2nd hand sources that the Cupra ECU fires the injectors at 5 injections per cycle rather tahn the usual 3. This 'apparently' makes the injectors good for 225BHP rather than 200 on the 3 injections guise.

There was me thinking these brand new Piezo injectors on the new 16v 170FR TDi were amongst the first to do this 5/cycle, but there could be some truth in what he's saying? Anyone any ideas?

Its all down to the tuner, to get over 200bhp it needs time and a bit of fine tu ning.
i use the same RR for all my mods. When i had allards turbo and mapping my car produced only 198bhp, i since took off the turbo( as it was faulty) and put a turbodynamics stage 2 on and had chipped IRE ( chipped UK) to do the fine tuning, he sent me the files by email and i used a ecu flasher to upload.

My car now produces a smooth 220bhp with hardly any smoke, and yes the RR is accurate, octy1 vrs were producing 179bhp-183bhp and when i had revo it produced 170bhp which was spot on all on the same rr.

@redcupra if you car is producing 215bhp on standard turbo it wont be long before your turbo pops again.

Well there working on it from sunday and they're still working on it until today.
Normally it's finished today or tommorow morning.So 3 days of testing and adjusting will be enough to get those figures i think.
