total time: app 8 hrs
clutch now back to normal
most hassle was with wiring plugs! fingers like sausages don't help.
managed to do without taking shear bolts out
as per usual doing one job means loads more....

air bag light
steering column doesn't feel as tight, slight play
sorting out d/s glove box

i'm also ashamed to say that whilst the scuttle panels were off i did clean behind there, also the panels themselves & gave the engine bay a quick wipe over

You fitted a new one or done a fix? Brave man for tackling a big job in this weather, I've been 'trying' to fix my abs again today.........so so cold

fixed old one, out at 1.30 Fri, into Darlo' to get welded, Barlows to order parts, home 3.00, 3.30 back in car ready to start install.
can't spend any money on it, already got mutterings of selling it, although i did buy a fog surround 4 yrs after losing it!
