I take my car to Interpro who have always treated me very well. Nothing against the new TSR Performance but it is ment to be a whole new company as the old set up got a very bad reputation then went bust over night costing a lot of people money. TSR have just had a new dyno fitted but how well they are trained on it and weather they are having teething problems a don`t know. Interpro have been going for years and know their dyno`s 2WD and 4WD inside out.

Told you they are good, everyone wants weekends so those dates always get booked quickly. Have you tried TSR ? A new company trying to start up using an old compies name that had a bad reputation would probably welcome all the work they can get.

Remap booked - went on rolling road today!

Hi all,

As suggested in previous posts I took my car on the RR at TSR Performance in Bridgwater today so I would have something to compare my re-map to which is booked in on Saturday. The service was excellent and they were helpful!

Here is the graph:
remapbefore.jpg

Top line is torque
2nd line is normal engine output which came up at 112.5 BHP
3rd line is Wheel output at 80bhp

Engine output came out at 113 bhp so only lost two from standard so I was pleased!

Car booked in for next Thursday to see the difference!

Hopefully the air pressure/temperature will be about the same so you can get a good comparison.

You'll be able to compare the two graphs for power/torque and see the general shape as well as where the maximums occur.

Any idea what you improvements you hope to see?

I got a quote off a company called Celtic Tuning, £300 for an increase of 50bhp (100bhp TDi increases to 150bhp), which I think is good value for money. They are a totally mobile service and come to you to carry out the work.

I got the graph from the RR company called TSR - I am going out of my own way to do this as I hoping to prove you don't need to spend 400-500 quid to get a re-map done that does the same as £200-250 one. Try the company "Map my ride" they start of at prices of £199 inc vat and are totally mobile! Re-map is tomorrow and I have no idea about what gain I will get - they state "10% bhp increase and 10% torque increase" I think I will be lucky to get 5bhp!

Yes, I know Superchips had the majority of the market for while so they could charge inflated prices.

Bit like K&N performance filters and Mobil 1. You pay for the name. Green filter and Millers oil are just as good. Good to have some competition. Should help keep the prices down.

Still think £400-500 is too much for a remap, esp when some cheaper ones will be just as good, and these companies will be built up on reputation.

I just got a quote from p-torque in wolverhampton regarding my 2.0 sport ibiza and its £275 in all, it includes a full diagnostics. The results i'd get were - 11bhp increase and 19nm torque - don't know where it's worth it! any suggestions?

it will be when your driving normally it will be much better but if you put your foot down it will be worse i think its worth it yes maybe i would of put theseon first to get more power increase

1.exhaust
2.intake and induction

you would see more increase with these on as less limitations!
