well he reckons it will take 3 to 4weeks to complete and then with the option of ceramic coating it will be around 280 for the mani and 130 for the ceramic coating , but he has said its really a 600 quid job but i've bought 4 turboback systems of him and shed loads of other stuff over the years so he really doing me a massive favour

I'd be interested in seeing his work.:)
Any spec on the steel to be used etc.

k03s hybrid is same fitment as k03s turbo ,, straight bolt on but will need bigger tip and lcr/s3/tt bam 3" maf housing and lcr/s3/tt bam injectors for more bhp gains

was in details talk with john today , about k04 manifold managed to find a tubular k04 on the net which he will be basing mine on to save a bit of time but it won't be equal length , but again forgot to ask what grade steel he'll be using

looks ok i think

question what is major downside to the exhaust manifold not having equal length

swapz.co.uk , googled it , he said the same about in equal won't make a noticeable difference on this engine , would ceramic coat the manifold ?

mine took me a week to make, and a few iterations to get it to fit and clear the turbo, intake, downpipe etc... you need to mock up a full engine and turbo in its actual position on support bracket.. Runners #3,#4 are a complete PIA to clear and get to the collector. High on my requriements list was no special spanners required and full access to mounting bolts from above to do the turbo up. It ticked those boxes. It was a 'mare to make however, but the 1st one was never going to be straight forward.
Runners are 1.25" and the collector thru to shared runner to #1 is 1.5" sch10 316L fittings.

Comparison to the very small runners on the stock k04 mani

cheers for the advice bill , well john's got the turbo from me and got 1.8t engine on engine stand , for my car will be even tighter got a few lpg hoses runnig at the back of the engine so he taking measurements to see how clearance he will have and also how the k04 sits in comparison to k03

Your prototype has got a lot of potential Bill, do you have any plans to mass produce them the same as the 3 inch tip or is it only experimental at this time.
