As far as I'm aware, it's 10,000 miles/15,000 km, 20,000 miles/30,000km and then the next is 40,000 miles/60,000km isn't it?

My car hit 45,000km yesterday (yes it reads out in KM, no idea why!) and the 'Oil' and spanner symbols appeared on the dash. Read the service book, but it left me a bit confused.

So I'm wondering is there some sort of oil change service which happens every 15,000 km/10,000 miles or something like that? I had my 20,000 mile/30,000km service done in August 2005.

Or is it just the service indicator out of sync?

you car should be serviced every 10000 miles, the service at 30K would be the same as at 10K

do you not have a handbook? It would be in there

As I said, I did look in the book, but I wasn't quite sure. I was under the impression that it went 10k, 20k, 40k and so on.

aha! I missed that bit sorry

10K - oil, oil filter + inspection
20K - oil, oil filter, pollen filter + inspection
30K - as 10K
40K - oil, oil filter, pollen filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs + inspection
50K - as 10K
60K - as 20K etc etc

for low mileage the same pattern is followed, high mileage its likely to go lube, 20K, lube, 40K
