I only put it in last night and have done about 10 miles in busy roads so not really. If I don't get any super unleaded tonight I may have to put more in so will let you know.

It looks like a trip to Tesco for some of their super unleaded.

All our garages are out of V Power too. Grudgingly stuck in £25 of overpriced BP 97 Ultimate the other night.

Id like to revive this post because the tuning specialist todaŷ told me to switch to shell v-power and was wondering does it really make a difference two years on from the first post ? It would cost me a extra €5.50 tp fill up with this compared to standard petrol

What car have do you have? Any tuned petrol car would require 98 Ron. It's beyond me why anyone would pay £500 for a remap then use 95 Ron fuel.

But regardless, yes 98 Ron (VPower/Nitro) does make a difference to both power and economy. That's not opinion, it's fact.

I often wonder with air filter elements being changed every other year if the extra money spent on high octane fuel isn't better spent on replacing the air filter more often.

Least you know that actually are getting 1-2 BHP advantage.

If you look in the back of the manual it does state something like "can run on 95 with reduced performance" on some engine specs

If remapped though it is needed. No question on petrol variants, due to advanced timing, fuelling boost etc.

Actually more air will pass through a slightly used filter compared to a brand new one..
