Trouble with FLAC is it's lossless compression. Good for quality, not so good for file size. I think it's only about 2:1 compression.
I never liked mp3 quailty, but for the car....who gives a £$%^ never gonna get great sound reproduction so mp3 it is for me

Because it's digital... if you get it from it's source, i.e. downloaded rather than from a CD it can be BETTER quality that a CD or DVD as there had been no physical medium which can deteriorate......
