Ah nice one, they're really small! I've zoomed in and all I can see is some white text haha.

Cheers for the tip mate, I'm going to join you in getting a set at some point. What's next for you?

Urmmmmm thats a good question mate..... Probs coilys but i rang insurence today and they refused to insure any modifications!!!!!!

Yea they were really quick on delivery but when delivered they had my reg no. and had "GB ROAD LEGAL PRESSED METAL PLATES" on the address label. i sent him a message and said that was an unacceptable way of packaging them as anybody could have cloned my car as they had the reg on the packaging and it also stated what was inside the package and also my house address so they knew that my reg was registered to the address that was on the envelope and also that some plates were inside the packet. so anyone could have cloned my details of the car so i dropped him a message and informed me that no further packets will have any info apart from address (obviously) on the front and refunded my postage. so hopefully i have prevented any chance of plate cloning from his plates.

Yea probably some ROKKOR coilys for me next. good set at a good price (£184 inc.. postage).

Will fit them myself too :D

What about you mate?

Deary me, you're dead right complaining about that mate, what's he thinking putting all of that detail on the packaging? As you say, it could very easily get into the wrong hands! I'll let you know if he does the same when I order mine.

Coilys sound good, would your insurance company actually cover your vehicle though if it was involved in an accident? Or is it just that they won't cover the cost of the coilover suspension?

I genuinely don't know what to do next my Cupra/FR/Formula Sport dial insert is going completely wrong, have no idea what to save for and do first there's such a huge list. Just don't know what order to do things in!

yea i was gunna say that if you get some tell me if its sorted.

no i told them i was planning on doing a few mods and asked if they could cover them they were alloys, arb, and coilys and they refused to add it to my insurence and said anyting as little as alloys wheels is being declined atm. no mods are being accepted as its too expensive now to replace the car bacl to standard if an accident occours.

yea i was looking at some fr dials but dont know how to fit them. they are up on ebay for like 25 quid and there is a number of designs but i have no clue of how to fit them. they are no guides either on how to take the dials out?

whats going wrong with it all then mate?

Oh yea new alloys next as mine are up for sale atm on the for sale section.

Some guy asked me if i would accept 300 for them and i just put a new set of toyos on them couple weeks ago and they are almost perfect! two minor but of kerbing thats it. its all on one alloy too! Im asking for 370 and most people who advertise their wheels have been kerbed to FCUK and have barely any tread left and they sell for 450 ish so i dont see why mine is such a bad price? He also lives in portsmouth and wanted me to meet him halfway and accept the 300?!

What do you think? Is it a reasonable price for them (£370)?

Ahh, I think I get what you mean now on the insurance. What a pain in the arse.

Well the dial insert I got is slightly different to my standard dial insert, and unless it matches up exactly the same it won't work properly. It looks fine as long as you don't have your dash backlight on. The problem is that the numbers on the dial for revs, speed etc are in the wrong places now compared to where the bulb is on the dash, so some areas of the dash are lit up brighter than others. I'm going to post a pic explaining in my RR shortly.

As for your alloys I'm the wrong person to ask I got a pure bargain on my alloys they were £62 off eBay haha with Bridgestone and Goodyear tyres all at 4mm of tread. However for that bloke to knock you down by £70, then expect you to go out of your way to meet him, it is rather cheeky, I'd tell him to do one if you're not in a hurry to sell.

Yea thats what i mean im not after a sale untill summer as thats when Aldo is selling his vrs spiders that he is refurbing in anchrite and i asked him if i could have them and he said yes so im just gunna sell the alloys even if it does take till summer to sell i dont mind.

I was looking at the dials on ebay just then and they have a seller with a choice of 6 on there from poland they are £33 plus £4 postage.

only problem is they take 20-32 days for delivery?!?! Is it hard to get the cluster out?

Seen as you're in no rush, I'd leave them for sale a little longer.

As for the dial insert I got mine from that bloke in Poland. The problem is he shows in the pictures in the listing that what he sells comes with 1, 2, 3 x1000 rpm, however what he sends comes as 10, 20, 30 x100 rpm. I can live with that. However there are other problems, such as he sends them out with all digits on the cluster the same size, which is wrong, because if you look at our clusters the speedo digits are slightly smaller than the rev counter digits.

To tell you the truth I wouldn't bother doing the mod, I want my money back off him as when fitted it looks nothing like as good as it does in his listing.

Ah that bad isit? might give it a miss then. so what is it the numbers are in the wrong places so the lights dont shine through the digits? Also if he digits are in the wrong place surely its telling you that you are revving slightly more/less than you actually are?

That's correct mate.

The below picture explains it.

The dash light is on in the picture, and as you can see, all digits light up, however some are much brighter than others. And every single gauge under-reads slightly now.

I hate it.

Yes i like it, doing this with mine and also going to spray the numbers black.

How did you do it?
Primer then red or just straight on with the red?

I used the plasticote red spray paint straight onto the plastic as plasticote bonds straight to plastic. I will be doing letters black too but only had red or fluorescent yellow at home. Once I get the black I will do the whole engine cover in gloss black so will look better.

Just read through mate the car is stunning!

Got a quick question though, are these wheels the Monza R's that it says in the sig? As i may have just fallen in love!

Really suit the car IMO and i've been looking for some for a while and it's convinced me!
Keep up the good work bud.
