Thought I'd start a thread for my ibiza.

I bought it through a Seat dealership I used to work at.
Think I was a bit quick to rush into buying it actually!
Here's the photos after the first drive:

Like most people, I hadn't planned on modifying really. Mainly as I'd spent a load of time/effort on the zs I had before, that looked like so:

So with the car insured, it had its first wash and a chance to take some half decent photos.

First things were simple like painted badges and centre caps:

I added rim tape to the wheels, although it didn't last too long!

Did the centre sun visor mod with the parts through work.

Fitted a pillar pod with boost and oil temp gauges, but no longer have it fitted as it was a bit of an eye sore! So I'm going to put the boost gauge into an air vent instead..
IMG_1531.jpg

It was at this point I felt something needed doing to sort the tractor stance out! So bought a set of weitec coilovers second hand through ebay.

Sadly one ended being slightly bent, so these. Were removed and sold on!

One Saturday at work, I found some spare exhaust pipe and made up a side exit exhaust. It didn't last long as it was a bit noisy! Although I keep thinking of having another go at it soon..

About 18 months ago I bought some kw basic 1 coilovers from awesome gti when they were having a sale. So that had the car lower once again and straight this time!

So, summer last year I had started to get bored of the black wheels. So a trip to halfords had a new colour to go on! Vauxhall hazel brown to be exact.

Not so long ago, when coming on boost I had a nice lack of power so obviously something wasn't right. Upon removal of the bumper I found the top connection on the side mount cooler had broken off so I needed a replacement!
Looking a little sorry for itself..

This called for an upgrade

So the next Saturday I took all the parts I bought to work and set to making it all fit!

This ended taking ages and being a pain in the arse! But was much cheaper than a seat sport etc.

This pretty much brings me up to date, except for a couple of small details like Hids and led bulbs.

So, been changing a couple of bits around this weekend for a bit of a change.

I'd bought some cheap vinyl through ebay for the rear lights during the week, this ended up being rubbish quality stuff so I bought some lamin-x instead.
This arrived Friday, so fitted it yesterday.
Here's a midway photo -

An then a finished photo -

As you may have noticed in that last photo, I have also covered the rear badge in vinyl too. Ive also replaced the rear plate for one without a dealer tab on the bottom.
All helps to smarten the rear up in my opinion!

Whilst in at work on the Saturday morning I set to changing the front end round a little bit.

Here's how it looked originally. With a dealer plate on that covers a large amount of the 'cooler I'd recently fitted, so had to sort that out!

So, I covered the original number plate area with black vinyl to cover the screw holes originally left by the number plate that was fitted. Then fitted a 3/4 size plate I had had made up. As you can see, it shows off a little more of the intercooler below! Also recovered the grill surround in vinyl as the paint had chipped away at the bottom.

It isn't, no. It's a universal cooler.. It's taller and thicker than the tx is, and then a mix of hard pipe and silicone from ash.

Between £2-300 Iirc.. Not too much.

It could do with a passat inlet manifold and to re-route some pipework as its too close to the ground for my liking, but I can sort that in the future.

So a little update, recently bought some new wheels..
So I went into work on Saturday, and got the tyres swapped over onto the new wheels.

Gave the car a clean earlier and went to take some photos, but in Lake District fashion.. It rained.

Here's what I got between showers!

Is this from Kirkstone pass?
Car looks good with the new wheels.
Was it your car at the cumbriavag show I remember seeing the bronze fr wheels?

It is kirkstone yeah, and yes it was my car at cumvag the other week.. :)

The bronze colour on your old wheels suited the black really well!

They weren't too good up close really, so they were about ready for a change!

Really nice ride! A lil too black in my opinion, kinda camouflages the beautifull lines and details the car has.

Lovely though!

Very nice ride! I really love ones like that because those little things makes it perfect! How did you manage to get your plates smaller and also, how hard is to get rear lights wrapped in red?

The plates are just bought through ebay.

The rear lights are sprayed, they did have vinyl on them.. But they went pink quickly..
