I now have the car :)

Just back from taking it around the country lanes near me. Vroooom. This is where it really excels I think!

The lout in me had to accelerate off a roundabout past a Golf TDI though. Whoooosh. Yay!

Only issue seems to be with the steering wheel central, the car doesn't go in a straight line (has to be at an angle 20 degrees clockwise to do that). I pointed this out during the test drive and they said they would sort it, but it appears not! Nasty dealer.

This is just the "normal" Cupra, as opposed to the "R".

I'm really looking forward to it. I test drove it twice before deciding to buy it. It's a 2002, in metallic blue. The performance was amazing and I'm simply not used to that sort of speed in a car.

I'm coming from a Peugeot 306 XS-S (1.6 engine, no fancy performance) so it is going to be a bit of a change, I think!

As part of this, I've sold my Bandit 1200 motorbike (I simply wasn't using it, and it wasn't practical for a lot of the stuff I'm doing nowadays), so here's hoping the Leon will have plenty of thrills :)

Any recommendations for a new owner would be much appreciated.
Holy ****! That's almost identical to me!
I've got an 03 reg Black Magix LC. My old car was a 306xs.
I bought mine about 5 weeks ago.
Errie Indiana!

Get a full service done if not done recently.
Fill her up with 97 petrol, floor it in 2nd and **** yourself.... then do it again and not stop smiling for 5 weeks :p

Then start looking at things like little mods: rear wiper, front splitter, pedals etc.
Get some decent car wash/polish etc -> check out www.carsparkle.com

Happy driving

If it's come with the Pirelli P6000s..get rid stright away. I've had my Cupra since 01 and only just changed from them (on advice from the kind folks on this forum..) and it's like a new car...even more of a big grin!
