I'd got a broken foot yeah, I would guess we dropped the hubs on your arm, the gearbox didn't come out until I'd moved to another place.

m0rk, quick question mate, I have a vario tdi which is about to be fitted with coilovers, classic audi alloys etc but noticed on your thread that you swapped out the interior...does the ibiza interior fit straight in?

This question is for all, driving along the road and the wheel bearing decided to clapse, destroying the stub axle. Garage wants £440 to fit new brake shoes, one wheel bearing and a stub axle.....are their taking the mick???

Cheers

Glen

Sounds a bit steep given the labour required. I've got my whole 'old' rear beam if you want it (just you'll need to pick it up!)

Ibiza interior fitted no problems at all, 10 minute job.

Cheers for the offer m0rk, if I wasnt in the north of Scotland I would take you up on your offer!

....Really chuffed to hear the interior swaps over, that will be the next thing on my list...

Well today's the end of the road for this project.

I've accepted a job which means I'm relocating 140 miles away and the new place just doesn't have a suitable driveway.

So yesterday morning I dropped the engine & gearbox out and that's going later on today

The Vario shell & a whole load of parts & spares are being collected by an SCNer this morning.

I'm really sad to see it go, and it was a tough decision, but needs must.

So as of today I'll no longer be a SEAT owner (except I still have the V5C for my coupe :D) but I'm sure that might change come the winter.

it's gone to an SCNer (who's probably unloading it about now)

I'm sure it'll be finished off properly - I have no doubt in fact :)

on the plus side the new job pays me +20% more, but the driveway isn't so useable - So I could probably afford to have a project, but alas not be able to put it anywhere nor have any time to do it.

Maybe as a daily I'll pick another up while the mazda sits out the winter
