Hi guys just a quick check for a solution to a problem over 6 months ago.I have a Pioneer AVHP4000DVD installed in my car (ibiza 2006 56reg) and want the steering wheel controls to work, purchased the correct adapter from car audio direct didnt work got sent a replacement and still didnt work, I know at the time a lot of people had this prroblem so have lived without them for 6 months but wondering if anyone now could tell me the correct adapter that woould work if a solution was found. Thanks

Andy

i had mine sent back twice before getting an adapter that worked...but my mate had the same in his merc with a Pioneer double-din in that there were no compatible stalk adapters for some reason  dunno if there's something different about the double-dins and the way they work

where did you get yours from and have you a reference code so I could buy the same one?

Andy

mines a 56 reg that says before 2005 is that correct then?

Andy

ye, for some reason because the VW's changed their connection type they also updated SEATs which isn't the case...so these are still the correct leads. what you're looking for is ISO and not CAN-Bus as some places may say

oh okay ill give it a shot, so this is the one you have been using? (did you try another one first?)

lol sorry man

lol i didn't mean to sound angry...it's all good

but as i said, this should work, but dunno how it will work on DVD hu's, although you should be fine. Your hu came with the dual ISO blocks, so this will be the adapter for the stalk controls (the link i previuosly posted should also work, only difference is that all 3 blocks attach to one patch lead rather than 2 :))

good luck

am i better off with the first one or this you reccon, also you said you sent yours back to them is this the product thhey sent you then the second time?

I have the 2nd option in mine now but both are the correct leads and will work. basically the second option is a celsus product whereas the combined adapter is a connects2 product, but neither are the ones that were sent back

no problemo amigo

if you have no problems with em post up in the FAQ thread found here letting others know that they worked
