Information overload at the moment! Manifolds, head porting, custom bits...looks like I will have light pockets this year.

Sounds interesting.

Will this be done before the National meet?

Really really not sure. Problem with all of this stuff is that people from all around the world do bits and bobs. The cam I am sourcing from Canada just waiting on pricing and specifications. Intake manifold is being design by old Slick in CAD. This obviously is going to take a lot of work however the good thing is we found a company who is willing to build it. Turbo intake pipe is easy enough but again it will be totally custom so will have to be put on hold till the intake manifold is design otherwise it might not fit. Head needs porting but its how far to go with this...there is no definitive answers yet in the deisel world as everyone got an opinion as to whether its worth it or not. All I know is there is a lot of info, headache and money to be spent.

Oh oh :D
But it will be fun! :D

It will be fun! Always is when something works...its the bit in between.

and alot of  and  with alot :cry::banghead2: but finally one day :thumbup:

When we start on your Slick - oh dear mate I sense tears coming

Maybe you should try with 16V head from 2.0TDI BMN engine? There is a company in Poland which made it. :) But they also "resized" engine from 1.9 to 2.0...

PS.
Sorry for resized but I don't know how to explain this in English.:)

Yea but then I would need to go "full werks" and get pistons, rods etc..etc..etc...Argument could be to do an engine conversion.

You got the car clean Stan? Got a long trip this weekend ;)

JP Warden's stuff us usually good so you should be alright.

EDIT: looks like you got right stuff there.

Possibly in the future. I am concentrating on improving the engine more so at the moment and making things as efficient as possible. Just think how restrictive our intake manifold is for one...designing a plenum manifold is the right way forward. I have also noted restriction in Milltek DP too which needs addressing.

I understand the turbo has no more puff in it so will need to be changed. I already have several turbo's in mind albeit one in particular that seems the weapon of choice for 300bhp.

VF Engineering Drop Links
-----

Purchased some uprated drop links few days back.

droplink.jpg

The key importance in upgrading to our part is that you will benefit from a much stronger design capable of withstanding hard driving and complimenting an upgraded roll (sway) bar. You will be taking advantage of updating to the current design incorporating the latest changes made by VW to the the inner profile of the bush housing. VF-E has used custom high durometer polyurethane bushes for a stiffer cornering feel. The link arm itself is many times stronger than the OE plastic part.

Cant wait to try them.

Done a full detail on the car today ready for tomorrow. Just when I was going to take the wax off and dress everything it started to snow (sunny all day). Managed to get wax off and dress everything...might have to wake up early to inspect the car and put additional layer of wax.
