Please Help - Drop Links

Hey ppl really need some help,

My 05 Ibiza FR has been knocking like crazy , my friend had a quick look and said it was the drop links. I ordered a new pair of links, they arrived i took the wheels off and they were about 1-2 inch too long!!!???

Is this due to the car having adjustable suspension? ( was on before i bought the car).

Not sure what to do now, the knocking is driving me crazy, however i dont know what part i need to be ordering.

Any ideas ppl?

yeah you can get shorter droplinks from a ford for them!!!

Is a particular ford model? My apologies for sounding stupid, however I have just started learning about cars since i got this FR. Do these shorter links pull the ARb away from the drive shaft then?

It might be worth checking you've got the right ones cause I had this sort of problem getting the right ones for my cordy even with the reg number. Measure the ones on your car and speak to your supplier.

Been doing some reading and from what I can see, Links from a 03 Mondeo will do the trick, gonna order some tonight will post photos if all goes well.

Thanks ppl for the help! Got some 03 Mondeo drop links for £7.50 a pop, and they fitted perfectly. Problem solved!
