Polo 6N coilovers on a mk3 cupra

A guy who lives near me has a nice little polo gti on coilovers. I saw him the other day and he asked if I wanted to buy them when he takes them off soon. I obviously said, ‘No, I don’t have a polo’. He explained that they are the same setup and would go straight on. Anyway, I took it as a load of sh!t and forgot about it. Then I typed in ebay search bar this morning, ‘ibiza coilovers’ and the result came up with ‘Polo 6N/Ibiza 6K coilovers’, opened the link and it read that the coilovers are for both cars.

Is this correct? Do they fit both cars?

Nope front is different, back end is the same though.

Half a kit would be no good!

Thought as much. knew the rear end was the same but wasn't sure on the front. Its from a golf i think isn't it?

Front = Mk2 Golf set-up (but Ibiza uses different springs ratings etc)
Rear = Mk4 Polo set-up (again, probably different spring ratings)

The mkIV polo kit will fit the ibiza, they are the same.
The mkV polo kit wont, they are different.

Mk4 Polo does not have the same front suspension as the Ibiza... Ibiza is a Mk2 Golf set-up on the front.

if you look at any suspension manufacturers catalogue you will see that the mk4 polo and the ibiza both have the same part number. I know this for a fact as i've fitted spax coilovers to my own car and spax coilover with the exact same part number to a customers mk4 polo. They will fit, trust me!
