I am getting really poor fuel consumption, I'm running 165bhp - 290ft/lbs and to a full tank I'll get 350 miles MAX, I don't drive excessively hard just the odd poke every now and then, I put it down to 'oh it's because I've modified it', but after reading Badgers ride thread and seeing he's running 230bhp - 410ft/lbs and still getting 500+ miles, it's obviously not because I've modified it, any idea why I'm getting poor fuel economy? Maybe just a p**s poor map but it doesn't smoke like it would if over fueling. Thanks =)

Yep, I've managed to squeeze just under 600 miles with a full vented tank. My standard/remapped car still did over 500 miles to the tank all the time.

What type of driving are you doing? Brakes binding? Any boost leaks at all? Fuel leak?

Poor maps have been known to cause bad figures in consumption. Who did the remap?

Also when you refuel, how much fuel are putting in?

I do mainly town driving but even then it shouldn't be less than 350 miles surely, no fuel leaks that's for sure as I was under the car yesterday and last week, unsure about boost leaks, I might have one because the turbo is very loud on spool up and my boost gauge spikes up to 28psi but then steadies at 22-23psi, I'm looking to do a boost leak test in the near future but my intercooler clamps are very tight, so it may be loud due to alloy induction pipes and intercooler pipes? I had it mapped at Kee automotive, wish I hadn't but at the time of the map I was young and wanted it cheap, but hasn't let me down in over 2 1/2 years...famous last words ;) and I fill the tank right up every time so roughly £50 give or take depending how cocky I get with running on fumes lol

I can squeeze £70 (55 litres) of diesel into the tank when vented and the OBC showing 10 miles.

I wonder if you are suffering from a slight boost leak. It could also be binding brakes.

Also, 28psi (1.9bar) is a hell of a boost spike! I'm running a spike of 2.1bar and 2.0bar hold for my setup. Surprised your turbo has lasted so long...

I possibly have binding brakes as there is a slight whine coming from the front n/s but it's not constant, the whine speeds up/slows down with the pace of the car but I can't see any wear on the discs to suggest this, but I've got to fit 312mm brakes anyway so when I do this I'll know if that's it or possibly a bearing on its way out, you're as surprised as me too lol I didn't know it was spiking that high til I fitted the boost gauge, and I cannot get anywhere near £70 either??

fuel consumption

I m lucky to get 350 miles brim to brim out of my 130 sport. Noticed temp never gets past the first mark on gauge though.
