1st off, hi all, I'm new on this site cause I just bought a Seat Leon Cupra R 05 plate (40K on the clock), remapped to 270BHP, with a forge re-circulating dump valve and a K&N panel filter.

The car has a forge re-circulating dump valve and today I noticed a sound that didn't used to be there I'm sure. When I got it I'm sure when the turbo spooled you could hear it this like little whirring noise (my mate tells me this is normal). I recently booted it down the motorway (somewhere) and hit a large speed. Today when I was driving to and back from work when the turbo kicks in it sounds like a hissing noise almost like there's not enough air getting in and it's sucking through a partially blocked hole or it's possibly leaking I don't know. I haven't really put my foot down enough to tell if I'm loosing boost though.

I know it isn't one of the noisy forge valves as the I asked the guy what type it was and he said that the Leon engines don't really like those types. Not sure exactly what one it is though, I think it might be the 007 valve but will need to check.

Does anyone have any idea's on what this might be?

If you have a K&N panel filter fitted then its normal to hear induction noise. If your still convinced its you DV then remove it, push the plunger up inside and cover the top and it will drop a small amount but not totally. If it drops totally is fooked!

Oh and wouldn't advise posting speeds on an open forum TBH. :) ;)

Thanks lads, appreciate the advice, I put my foot down last night on the way back from work and it still seems to be pulling ok through the acceleration, maybe it was just me being paranoid as I usually have the stereo on and dont hear too much from the engine. I'm sure if it feels like it's loosing pull over a period of time I'll get it into th garage.
