basically i've bought a new ariel for my cupra . . .

only problem is . . . when i'm trying to remove the existing ariel it just keeps turning, its as if it comes to the end of its thread and thats it! it wont come off . .

any ideas?

hold the base of the airel and give the airel a good hard tug

tried that mate, its as if its welded on! Im stumped . . !

they do take a very hard tug to get them off. When I took my old Leon one off I was $hitting myself with how hard I had to pull it!

agree, the aerial just kept spinning. i was stumped also, but if you just grab it at the base and pull it hard, its fairly robust so will take it . give a good all tug.

Yeah TBH it was a bit of a daft question on my behalf because the majority of the time I listen to my iPod...however for the first time in years I have some sort of radio reception (it's quite bad as standard TBH, even with a booster) because I had a stubby aerial on my previous car for 4 years!

Something I could probably live without again, it's just nice sometimes not having to choose something to listen to.....I'll get one ordered
