I have just noticed the white wing mirror covers there Talby, think they bring it all together rather nicely. What you going to paint the wheels with ?

Cheers, a small feature but should work well!
as for painting the wheels i was gonna use white hammerite with primer underneath as it should be fairly hard wearing dont want to have to paint them once a month!!not sure what finish it would achieve but thats the fun of experimenting!! If you think of anything else i will gladly listen!

This is my Arosa, still got a bit of work i want doing to it though!

Im getting it lowered soon and also having the front light caps painted the same colour as the car.

Any tips on how to make it look better?

Nice looking condition there and looks like you have already done quite a bit to it :) Im not overly keen on the lexus lights and the silver mesh. Looks a little stark against all that yummy deep teal paint. Will also looks miles better when it has been lowered too. Keep us updated.

I like that colour, it looks really nice when it's all shiny and waxed! :D

Agree with GG though, needs the silver mesh toning down a bit, and the lights too, it's a bit in-your-face shiny. Maybe spray the mesh black and tint or change the rear lights so it's more subtle.

Is that a Reiger front bumper? It's the kind of shape I'm after, but I've never liked the Reiger one from the side, it's got a bulge - yours looks much flatter?

my lil baby :) i totally love these cars i really aint sure why but loads of character and a hell of alot of fun 2 drive especially when its nice and wet

Looks lovely and clean indeed there :D Big old exhaust is that a universal fitting one ? I think their handling in the wet and around country roads do add to their character and the fact that as parts are difficult to find, everyones is unique.

cheers ,,, was pretty clean there ! haha ,,, yeah it was absolute f**ker 2 fit! lmao ,,, but sounds nice ,,, thats quite an old pic ,,, now has been de badged , de badged grill , k&n 775i induction kit :) plenty plenty more to come! :D
i totally love it handling! u can have so much fun if u want too aint the fastest thing but my god so much fun 2 drive! i really love it :)

Your new wheels look really smart [B)] GOt the centre caps to go on?

Is it just me or the photos, but it looks like your rear wheel toes out!? I also noticed this in the first picture you posted of it, the front view. Looks like the front of the back wheel is pointing slightly to the curb?

Maybe just the photo though.

:)

I think its just the silly wee lense in my fone camera causing distortion lol. It drives in a straight line ok so I think its fine.
Going to get tracking checked as soon as I fit the new track rod ends, bushes and discs anyway but I couldnt wait to fit the wheels :p

The Mini dealer has no record of R88 wheels on their database! The parts guy has ordered a centre from a different 16" wheel to see if it fits. It has the same number off small half-moon shapes around the edge to match into
the spokes so fingers crossed! We tried centres from a 17" wheel and it would fit if it was slightly smaller so it looks likely that the 16" ones will b ok

Just a few updated pics. Added my spoiler and painted the wing mirror surrounds. Also painted brake pads as they were new and didnt warrant paying for green stuff ones. Also fitted new (but, very standard) exhaust thanks to the other one falling off :)

some updated pix of mine, mk 1 rears back on ( lightly tinted ), retro wipers, chrome indicator bulbs, plain pressed steel plates, black aeriel in place of chrome one and lower bumpers resprayed front and rear. Car is now an inch lower at the front from these pix were taken.
