Post-flood damage/checks

So I spent much of last night negotiating flooded country lanes. Thanks for that, Storm Frank. Thankfully we made it through with only one turn-back required. Is there anything I should be checking for damage?

Difficult to say, deep enough for clouds of steam from the front end when I'd emerged from the other side...

if enough water had got in there to make it sodden the engine would be screwed

I'd check none of the many plastic panels underneath have not come loose or been torn off. As for the rest, if its still working I'd say its fine.

Check for fuel filter, oil mixture and smoke on a cold start. I wouldn't worry though, I doubt it has got to any components. Just old cars for you do that aha
