Evening all,lil bit random this but does any one have a clue how much a MY03 front bumper with all the grills and stuff on it weights? Or even better has anyone ever sent 1 using parcel force,dhl............. blah blah. I need to arrange for one to be picked up and i dont have a clue on the weight of the thing  ,If anyone can help me out IAM BEGGIN! Cheers

A lot of the parcels firms work on volumised weight. (A large light item takes up the space an average heavy item would). If you look at somewhere like http://www.parceluk.co.uk/

put in a 10kg weight for the bumper and then the dimensions - and it converts to 60kg. (So cost you about £40.00)

I don't know why I'm helping you  I'd have been happy with my £222 bid.

Didnt sell it to me mind did you! i woulda given you £500,easy lol. The saving grace is its onvi as is my car,so hopefully the colour wont be to far out. DPJ your helping coz your a nice person, and not bitter the fact i out bid you by £5 lol :p , Iam gunna ring parcelforce, see what they say, cheers anyway guys.

BAHAHAHAHAHA. Thanks man, had to explain to my sorta-boss what I was laughing at ¬_¬

you owe me :<

I had a SEAT dealer post me some body part (bumpers, skirts etc), half of what turned up was damaged. Fortunately as it was direct from a SEAT dealer, he arranged for my local dealer to exchange the damaged parts at no cost to me.

Based on that experience i'd never have large, easily deformed/damged items sent by any courier; certainly not if i'd have to swallow the loss.

cheers tall, its looking like iam gunna have to pick it up anyway now,it seems to be working out to big for anyone to get! ive a few more people to try but it aint looking clever  5/6 hour drive each way here i come! lol I think theres a moral we can all learn from this, check postage before you get carryied away bidding on things on ebay
