As is often the problem with heavily modified FWD cars, putting the power effectively on the tarmac (particularly on wet, potholed $h1tty British roads) can be an issue in itself. Add in a dose of wheel hop, camber, worn running gear and you will find that less than your stated WHP is hitting the ground.

I only replaced the dogbone mount for an EIP unit as the car had only done 5k when I uprated it, but here is some interesting kit that can be sourced from the states to stop the block and transmission from rocking and rolling under the bonnet, particularly when the time comes for an upgrade of mounts.

The vf engineering mounts are very good improves handling a great deal however they are very rough 3-4 times more vibration than just fitting a dog mount.

I was tempted to use them but after speaking to a few people i didnt want to lose anymore comfort.

The HPA dog bone mount is a good mid point i think as it comes with the cylindrical mount on the engine side. Ive had the EIP on for about 10k and its shagged, but i never really thought it made a great deal of difference. The HPA has more vibration but i have no wheel hope at all.

i opted for the powerflex DB mount bushes and they are useless. No difference whatsover wheelhop wise and the most annoying drone ever when pulling away not to mention the steering wheel vibration.

I've not tried the EIP full mount so can't comment but based on the powerflex bushes I don't think i'll bother forking out the cash on an uprated DB mount.
