Hi Guys
Owned my FR184 for 2 years now and had this sensor (EML) pop up several times now. Ive been told there are 3 of these sensors on the car and I have them changed 4 times already. The first time the sensor had popped up, it was changed. 3 months on and the same code came back up. My garage got the wiring checked and he even tested the electrics. Everything was fine, but light came back on.
Called Seat dealership, they said bring it in and we will test part but not replace unless looked at.
The part was tested by SEAT Garage and cost me for them to test it with an additional charge for diagnostics.
The third time it was replaced I had no issues, then 6 months after the light pops on again. My garage has assured me its not the same part sensor. I pay to get it replaced and now after a month, the same code pops back up.
Im in a dilemma as I don't want to keep changing a £135 part plus labour and diagnostic charges, if it isnt this then SEAT will charge me again to check the part or car for several hours.
Seat said if it keeps failing, they need to look at the car for several hours, don't know what to do?
Has anyone had these issues? Why is this happening? Can someone please please please help. Its driving me insane. I just dont have the money to keep repairing the same part?
