You dont really need a big powerful model. Too much pressure can actually make the grains of dirt drag along your car anyway and cause fine scratches and swirls. Its all about losening the dirt before hand washing. Or if washed regular you can wash with no contact but this has to be done very regular so build up is non existant. As left for too long and the pressure washer wont lift all the dirt and the will still be a visable film. Be carefull not to use it too close as this again can damage your car.
Have a small el cheap one (was about £20) perfect for wheel arches etc.
