How much have people been charged to have the Aero/BTCC rear spoiler and side skirts painted and fitted to their cars? I was quoted £300 + VAT this morning which I thought was quite reasonable considering it will come with the full guarantee with it being the approved bodyshop and all. I had previously been quoted £250 for a non-offical job with no comeback.
I got quoted £250 to paint and fit side skirts.
Guy in my work will paint them for £50 and I'll fit them myself.... for free................£200 saving.

Dang that is £100 cheaper than I have been quoted. They did say that the spoiler and skirts were 12 hours to paint and fit start to finish and that they were charging for half that. Supposedly the side skirts are an animal to fit though and need loads of adhesive and the spoiler is awkward at best?
I would have thought that approx £350 (including the Vat) for painting and fitting was a very good price from an approved place.
You could get it cheaper, but if its done poorly...

When I bought my side skirts I got all the clips, adhesives etc. I'll be taking my time to make sure they fit spot on and will move/modify them to fit best.
Once they are fitted and the adhesive applied you have to tape them to the car and let it sit for a while/overnight to let it bond. Maybe thats where they're charging the time as I can't see it taking more than 1hr a side to fit them.
Don't know about the spoiler though.

In that case my dealer (Who i have bought 3 cars off in 2 1/2 years and spent over 50k with) is blantantly trying to rob me then. Have been quoted £750 for skirts, spoiler, painting and fitting!!! And they claim that because the body shop is at a different location (3 miles away) to the service centre that these prices stand. Am feeling the need to shop elsewhere for these parts. Any good dealers in the southeast out there who can do for cheaper?? Feeling let down by a dealer who i have been loyal to.
I'm really tempted to get some skirts on my FR. Problem is mine is a company car and although i've still got 2 years to all the mods i'm doing i want to be able to get off and either put on my next Leon or sell!! Presume the skirts are bonded on? If they are screwed on then i would get them. Anyone know how they are attached?
