Doesn't need bolting on, it comes with the sealant provided

Thats what i thought, i really couldn't trust myself doing it i don't think. Could ask my boyfriends brother, still unsure though.

A lot of people recommend you use windscreen bond instead of the supplied sealant, because it sets quicker.

Thats what I did and it's solid as a rock. I'm sure the supplied stuff is good too, but from what I've heard it needs ages to set.

I haven't got anywhere to store the car overnight for it to set, so i'm sticking to the dealers!

Just a bit of an update... Ordered the spoiler direct from Seat UK and it cost me £105 delivered and then ive got a quote of £100 for spraying and fitting. Saving me £75 on the Stealers!

Ahhh ok - thats not actually SEAT UK, just a dealer called Bartletts seat with an online store.

Yea, i found that out when at first they said they wouldnt deliver and you could only pick up. Nice few miles between Bartletts & where i live in Donny! The postage is something like £10.19 or something daft like that. Seemed like a good price to me and it arrived today

Haha that's a bit stupid, them having an online store and then telling people they can only pick it up! but at least you got it in the end, makes a hell of a difference to the rear of the car

When i worked out what the dealer had quoted me, the spoiler itself was £87.50 worked out with VAT is £105, so i figured theres no point in me trying to search round for a cheaper one.

Then paiting and fitting is £150 + VAT, which works out as £180 i belive.

Asked around a while at body shops what they would quote for painting but they were so useless.

There's a bodyshop round corner from my work where I've had work done in past to see what they would charge. Failing that a mate has a spray shop and quoted me £100 to spray it for me
There's no way I'm going to give stealers £180 to spray it!

That is to fit though aswell. Which obviously if you can do yourself then fair enough.

i'm in shock, quoted £265 by dealer for spraying and fitting (i.e., gluing on) only. The sheer range of dealer quotes on this thread for the same job, are shocking! Why they do not have standard prices, I don't know! I might now consider encouraging my kids to become stealers - clearly pays better per hour/day than being a city lawyer or doctor and no need for expensive uni fees! (imho...i.e, no offence to honest dealers)
