OK, so to add to the constant engine rattle, I now have this little beauty to contend with!

Sunday Afternoon: Intercooler pipe to inlet manifold comes off, AA to the rescue. The boost pressure has stretched the old seal where pipe detached, so it'll 'have to go into a dealer for replacement'.

Now, it doesn't take a Brain surgeon to realise that finding a SEAT dealer is like trying to find rocking horse ****, so working for an Audi dealer, I take matters into my own hands and order the seal from work to fit myself.

Day 1: Seal is on Back order, sourced from Audi Dealer.
Day 2: Seal is too small, sourced from another Audi dealer on assumption first dealers was wrongly bagged...
Day 3: Seal arrives, still too small!

So, I now have a Cupra TDi thats got no boost pressure, has no power high in the rev range and has an engine rattle (assumed Gearbox/engine mount). Not bad for a 4 week old car!

Perhaps it was a bad idea to buy VAG again after the problems I had with VW :thumbd:

Gutted mate... im sorry to say mines running like a dream...
I guess it just unlucky... not heard of this happening... i guess pedro didnt do a good job on it.
Hope it gets sorted soon though

Mine WAS running like a dream :( I'm at one of thoser points at the moment where I just hate the car and want nothing to do with it!!

i hear they get the rejects from the seat factory lol

Will you ever stop slating Marshalls?

You hear wrong. I know quite a few people that have bought cars from Marshalls with no problems whatsoever. In fact, my mum has had 2 Cupras that have been PERFECT since day 1.

i think u will find that two perfect cars is a drop in the ocean , how many bad one do we hear about on here.

they are usless and cocky when questioned i`ll stop slating them when they close them fools down.

sorry but removing most of the interior to fit an armrest then using wood screws on the interior to hold it down is not acceptable.

Firslty you will be waiting ages for the hose as they have all been on back order for last 4 weeks and still no sign,

And yes it is a design, fault nothing to do with the hoses which are ok ( i have spoken to Samco an they are looking to do developement soon, but that was petrol first) its the conectors. They are held on with the tension grips, like all the important pipes instead of jubilee clips, so you will have to change them all if you want better reliability.

Don't be despondent. It's a car and theygo wrongjust the same as we do. Does'nt mater whetheryou spend £350000 on an SLR or 14k on a cupra TDI, hey all go wrong and it is luck of the draw, to be despondent like you are is silly as you will never ever find a car that is completly fault free,,, even mine has occasional niggles whichget pissed with, but next day try to sort em, Its part of the fun of cars for me, if i wanted hassle free i'd have a 1.2 corsa.

stickwith it

Cheers, I think the only way i'll sort this one is to order a new hose and hope it comes with the right seal :s

I know this is somewhat a thread revival... but does anyone know if it's possible to get a silicon hose kit for a Cupra TDI yet? I shredded a hose and would like to replace it with something decent - but it has that spring clip fitting on one end... and I guess it's just a matter of time until the next hose in the line pops.
