Problems with seat stereo

Has anyone had any problems with the standard stereo not reading cd`s or mp3 discs,because mine just comes up with cd error or cd drive deffect.

Mine has been doing the same thing especially when the weather is very hot. SEAT is replacing mine and from what I understand this is happening enough times that they are aware of the defect....

Mine does the same in Altea with mp3 disc am getting cd error message, tho works ok with normal cd, sale peep say cos not burning MP3 correctly ???? but no probs with in prev car which had kenwood fitted.

Hey people i picked my car leon fr tfsi up and the cd player did not work seat have said the will not beable to replace mine untill november not a big problem as i just use the aux hole with my ipod.

I had the same with mine after the car has been into the dealers.

Kept coming up with CD Drive Error or CD Defect. This was with a pre-recoreded CD too.

I was only a mile up the road when it happened, so went straight back to the dealer and when the service guy came out it was working fine.

No idea what caused it, bit seems okay now.

i find that my cd player is quite picky about what it wants to play and quite often jumps or skips

aux all the way people, ive never actually used the cd player mp3 player all the way 20gigs of music heaven!

Wish I had got the AUX or USB socket rather than the iPod connector. Too difficult to find tracks even on my 4 gig iPod. Really annoying that you can only skip one track at a time and not say 10 or 100.
