pulling to the left under acceleration

Hi there,

I've not had the ibiza long (remapped 130 tdi). I thought i should get the tracking done just as a matter of course.

The chap at the garage said it was miles out, so he adjusted it accordingly and off i went.

Within a few miles i felt it pull to the left when i accelerated. So, i took it back a week later, car went up on ramps and the chap checked it again. It was 1degree out, certainly not enough to cause any pulling.

Now, all the bushings etc have been recently replaced for cupra ones etc and there is no sign of wear in any of the other components from what i am being told.

So my question is; Could there be anything else potentially causing this? It really only pulls harshly under acceleration. It's definitely not torque steer or similar. Subframe mis-alligned?

Thanks for any thoughts in advance.

mine used to pull all over the place,

300 lb/ft through the front wheels, its torque steer.

they pull left anyway due to the camber in the road.

i have the same problem

nobody knows what is causing it

high torque through a transmission with one driveshaft shorter than the other and FWD and road camber

try it on a FLAT car park will still do it but most likely be less harsh to a degree

better still hold tight with ya right hand ;)

Think these guys need to work out a little more, a :D

As mentioned, camber on road, driveshaft shorter, and generally as I have always been told our cars are meant to head to the left if you fall asleep on a motorway etc, generally its safer to go up the grass and crash, than cross over and hit a Lorrie the other way.... 100mph+ smashes would hurt. Alot.

Working at vauxhall, the master tech told me they usually pulled slightly to the left, it was the way the cars were set up with the uk roads and camber and stuff
was always funny watching the chav motability families kicking off because it was the first time they'd driven on wide 17" wheels and were convinced it was a fault.
not to mention the 1.6 petrol owner who made a complaint because she only got 300 miles to a half a tank. ?????

but yeah, combo of wide wheels, camber and torque steer.

mine pulls left too but put this down to

as in spain they drive on the right hand side of the road the camber wil drag them right naturally but if the cars where set up topull left a tad then the car would sit in a straight line

I see what you guys are saying.

My octavia Vrs pulled slightly to the left too, as have most of my others. I know what torque steer etc feels like, my fiat coupe had more than enough power going through the front wheels, but this is different. It's more harsh than i have felt in any of my other cars.

I have tried in on the flat etc but it still does the same. It doesn;t bother me too much, as fl@pper said, just hold on tight. But i wanted to make sure there was nothing seriously wrong. I cannot believe that they were built to pull this harshly!!!

Thanks for the replies. Always good to know i'm not the only one! haha. :):D
