Very nice Queen! You munched that S3 in your video!

Did you notice much difference in poiwer/response after fitting the Forge turbo actuator? I'm thinking about buying one of these but don't know anyone else with one, worth the money?

What other plans you got for the car?

Thanks, and I was still stage 1 in that video.

Um I can't be completely honest because I went stage 2 at the same time. I fitted the exhaust and the forge wastegate together. I don't think it's really necessary. It certainly is better than the stock one, but there are many people out there without it and they don't have any problems. So my advice is to better ask someone who fitted it after they'd gone stage 2. They should know more than me. :)

I can only show you my boost gauge:

Spike-hold-redline boost (keep in mind it's filmed in summer, now i do a bit better)

As you can see I got 1.65 bar peak, 1.5 hold and 1.25 redline. And these are at 28+ degrees Celcius ambient and after 5 consecutive pulls.

I don't know if it's because of the stage 2 alone, or if the wastegate has something to do with it. I'd love to know what boost someone with a (stock wastegate) stage 2 Revo has.

Other plans, I don't realy know, I'll sure lower it and get better wheels and tires. Other than that, maybe I'll go BT but after someone else has done it first. I don't want my car to be the guinea pig. So we'll see... [B)]

Official times (vbox), summer 2012, 30°C ambient, passengers 160kg.
I ran on a closed city street, no drag strip or anything on my stock P7s.

0-100km/h (0-62mph) 5.87

60-160km/h (37-100mph) 10.19

400m (1/4 mile) 14.13

1000m (1/2+ mile) 25.62

Published on an online greek racing mag, you can see (I would say read so better use google translate) more here: http://www.highperformance.gr/index.php/car-tests/166-4x-cupra-tsi-dsg-1st-stage?showall=&limitstart=, the white one in the pictures or with a Revo tag is mine.

So the kw v1's are on, the car lowered something less than 5cm, the ride is great, the front isn't that stiff anymore, the rear is a bit firmer but that helps a lot with digs. It is a great improvement all around and I highly recommend it, the car can actually turn now!

Following the fitting of the coilovers I decided to install the Powerflex mounts. So I installed the engine mount and five exhaust mounts, since the car's lowered so much that the exhaust was only a few mm away from the rear axle. What can I say, now the car is as stiff as a rock and the engine doesn't move one bit. The feel of the steering has changed dramatically!
When I get a chance I'll post an engine video where you can see the improvement.

Some pics:

So I bought the s3's rear brakes, brand new with EBC discs and pads, I got them painted red with electrostatic coating and installed them today. I also got the chance to change my brake fluid with the top rated Motul's RBF600.

New vs old disc, before I sprayed the center black so it wouldn't rust.

Two closeups, mounted, where you can see the cover which was cut and "unfolded" so it could snugly fit the new brakes.

Right now I'm in the bedding-in process, so I haven't gotten a chance to see anything huge in terms of feel, but as the pedal becomes firmer, it's starting to show.

Looking good, your car is really coming along now queen, it's a weapon.

Really liking those new rear brakes, I have a few questions about them. Firstly is it brakes for a mk1 Audi S3? (1.8 20vT 225). What cover do you mean when you say it was cut and unfolded to fit? my rear brake discs are worn and I need to replace them so I was looking at getting a similar set up like you have there.

Thank you! Yeap mk1 s3. The cover that sits behind the rear discs and helps keep them cool. I believe that all cars have one. If you look at your rear brakes you'll see it, it's a round metal thingy. The cover had to be either removed or opened or the new discs wouldn't fit. The only downside is that the discs are pretty damn heavy, so if you're looking into buying one like these try to get them drilled if possible.

Ah I see, thanks for your help! I think i'm going to do this to mine too, do you still get the S3 calipers available to buy brand new?

EDIT: Did you need to buy the carriers aswell?

You're welcome! Yes you can buy them new, you need calipers, carriers, discs and pads. Make sure you clarify that your car is front wheel drive so you get them with the right adapter too.

A small break from vacations and back to tuning...
AEM boost and EGT gauges installed in the center air vents. My number one concern was the functionality of the vents, so I chose to go with the OSIR pods (originally meant for the mk2 TT), which we had to change a little bit for a right fit.

The sensors to the left and right of the photo:

We chose to get our readings from the dp.

The gauges with the lights off:

With the lights on:

During the day, the gauges have a very soft light. In the evening when you turn the lights on, the light gets gradually stronger, and when you switch them off, the gauges dim back to their softer light.

I really like the result and most of all that the functionality of the air vents remains intact. ^_^

They look sweet as!!! How did you get the original vent out? I currently trying to do this but I'm abit stuck lol

I know, it's normal, just pull and pull while you turn them, and they'll come off. Just hold the console while you do it!

Even though the car is still adapting I can feel a huge difference. Spools earlier and it has a stronger top end. Louder exhaust tone, louder dsg fart and different (better) blow off sound, like a k04!

Very cool, when you have it all installed and set up, let us know how it feels and what power/torque you achieve! good luck!
