Question about pre-facelift headlight reach

Hi everyone!
So I switched from Leon MK3 (2019) to Cupra Leon MK4 (pre-facelift 2024) and one of the main thing that I noticed while driving in the night is that the headlight's reach on the road is much smaller than MK3's reach, to the point it felt a little dangerous specially in the country roads. I've attached a link to a video of me driving for reference recorded on my dashcam. The high beams are just about ok, not as good as MK3's high beams but I feel the normal dipped is too low? During start, the headlight goes calibrate by going up and down. I just wanted to see if this was normal/expected from these headlights and what are people's opinion on this in general

Visit a garage and have the headlight alignment checked

Yeah they definitely come adjusted low from the factory. I adjusted mine up by almost a full rotation on the adjuster and it passed MOT etc no issues.

+1 for a half/full turn upwards on the adjuster, the factory setting was useless even at 30mph.

Headlamps on my last VW were also very low from the factory, making driving after dark dangerous (IMHO). A half to three quarter turn of the adjuster sorted it and like @SkysTheLimit, it passed the (first) MOT after I’d made the adjustment with no issues. However, the next year when was MOT’d by the same VW garage that did the previous MOT it failed for headlamps beams being too high! Go figure……...

My current non-VAG car has the old style manual headlamp adjuster inside the car so it’s easy to adjust the beam height if it’s felt to be too low or to compensate when heavy loads are being carried.
