saw some threads saying the pd160 possibly lowers performance at the bottom end?

originally planned getting both these items, has anyone got any more opinions on whether the pd160 gives you more or less 'oomph'?

(100bhp 1.9 tdi)

I've got a Leon TDI 150 but with a Pipercross panel filter. I wouldn't say it's really made a noticeable power increase, if any at all, but the turbo/engine does seem to pick up alot quicker and the turbo whistle has definately got alot louder!

Much of the gain comes remap time as the engine is able to breathe a little easier. :) Without a remap, the effects are negligible, beyond sounding a little different.

Yup, agree with you there although mine feels more eager in picking at lower revs up than before... Might be a case of wishfull thinking butt dyno though.:p

I wouldnt say its not worth having one. If anything I notices ever so slightly better response, it more for sound if anything. Way I think about it is the engine breaths better so it must do something.
