Aye, fair recovery from what was a tough weekend if their honest. Vauxhall were the stronger team again. But its still close and early days, which is what we want. Nice close racing and a close championship. :)

Great pic from the Race 2 shunt with Turner and Allison.

Allison's Toledo got airbourne as you can see.

did u see the GT2 race and inparticular the crash after the first couple of bends, the thing took off and over the tyres it went.. all ok though :) P.S anyone who hasnt seen it highlights are at either 11:05pm or 12:05am (cant remember which)

Well the convoy crew had a quite a day at Thruxton. Hope you spotted Empi's flagpole, the biggest and best of the day by far. The complex was awash with Seat flags by the end of the day. Not so many SCN'rs but plenty of support.

Pretty good results for SEAT considering the straight line speed of the Vauxhalls. JP's outbraking of Chilton into Cobb was an absolute classic. DT had his usual share of bad luck, but some gritty driving as well. Excellent effort allround to keep the championship tight with Giovinardi.

As for the Porsche crash that was just surreal, :-o :bounce: never seen anything like it at Thruxton before (even Clio's) and it was extremely lucky no one was behind the catch fence at that point. Seeing it "live" it still seeemed to happen in slow motion. The Medical car was there in seconds but we couldn't see anything of the car behind the adverts;must have been nervewracking for everyone as to what they'd find behind there, but fortunately Kelvin got himself out of the car pretty much before help arrived, too huge cheers of relief from the crowd. Will certainly have to set the recorder for ITV highlights.

Big thanks to Stu B for leading the convoy in to a reasonable parking spot ;)

How did the damage to your vehicle occur?........

I was flying at a height of about 12 feet when suddenly gravity intervened.

ps best joke of the day was when I spotted a motor cylce cop heading down behind us to have nose at Kelvins Porsche and Sops said he was going to put the "POLICE AWARE" stickers on it:lol:

Ney worries it was a pleasure to head the SCN'rs in.... Wee bit of interesting discussions with those wee traffic marshall's, even the one that implied he wanted me to park on him... (Well I would have... but was concerned I might damage the front of Womble I..)

Great day was had from all accounts, Empi - Your pole is simply WICKED..... Made the complex a SEAT corner by the end of the day with all the flags, something I think Jason and Darren appreciated, Doors open at the end of each race... Nice....

Heres to October as its the only other event I will be able to get to this year.... For those in that I have spoken to, I will be on the case (Z & m0rk if your happy) re Allards parking for SCN....
