Hi everyone I've noticed funny little thing with my 2015 Mk3 leon cupra it seems while the indicator is on the radio goes all crackly just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem and what or where was the issue? I'm presuming that the indicator swith wire must be wrapped in the same loom as the radio ariel but I don't know so here I am.. Sounds like nothing but if your driving in towns it gets pretty annoying... 👍

Must be a similar problem on Audis!
One thought that comes to mind - do you see a similar problem if you switch on hazards?

2015 cars with 'full LED's, still didn't have rear LED indicators (or reverse and fog bulb) - Daft I know. Even the facelift cars have a normal reverse bulb i think.

So if the previous owner swapped out the indicators for cheap LED ones, then I'd be 99% sure that was the cause, as the aerial is back there too :)

Just checked all standard bulbs in the rear so not that causing the problem... Bit of a head scratcher 😂

That's strange.
It might be worth swapping over the rear bulbs to see if that makes any difference. On my Mk2 Leon, various attempts to fix light issues didn't work - but that swapping the bulbs did. Could be a slight difference which is causing the issue.

I did wonder about stickers on the rear window. I recall that there was advice that dealers should not affix stickers to the heated rear window as that acts as the aerial I believe. And sometimes removing dealer stickers caused damage. But I'd expect that would show as permanent interference...

Strange alright 🤣Ye I'll get few new bulbs and see if it changes things there is a small dealer sticker in the rear screen on the outside do you think it could affect it from outside? Now I've been talking so much about it it's really bugging me 😂😂

Before you splash out on new bulbs, I'd be tempted to just switch over the existing bulbs.
I replaced bulbs previously and replaced the bulb holders. And still indicator faults. But swapping the bulbs sorted it.
Not the same issue exactly, but a possible solution...

Bad connections on the antenna or the audio unit, do these cars have a powered signal booster built in? could it be faulty and so susceptable to interference.

Seriously?

I have no idea if the flasher relays on these cars are solid state, but if not then worn contacts in the unit may be the issue.
I have a similar problem with my central heating wall thermostat which interferes with the DAB radio in the kitchen when it switches. The contacts have weakened and aren't making/breaking cleanly.
