Hmm, a bit p***ed off at the moment so need to have a rant

Had my Cordy MOT'd on Wednesday, and after a few minor things (wishbone bush, numberplate bulb, headlight aim) she passed - yippee (good job I removed the Morettes - but that's another story/post).
Anyway was putting the paperwork away today and noticed that the MOT said 'Seat Ibiza' and not 'Seat Cordoba'. So checked the VIN numbers and discovered that the VIN number didn't match that of the Cordoba - the VIN number on the new MOT was that of my 8v Ibiza that I scrapped last month!
Been back to the garage who basically said they had worked off the reg number of the Cordy. This has a personalised plate, which, you might have guessed, used to be on the Ibiza. And the garage had previously MOT'd the Ibiza - no prizes for working out where this is going....
So somehow the garage has MOT'd the Cordy, but issued an MOT with the VIN and model of the Ibiza on it. Even the fact that the Ibiza was white and the Cordy is black didn't seem to make them wonder... In their defence, there are no badges on the Cordy, but still??
So I've got to send all the paperwork I have for both Ibiza and Cordy off to my local VOSA station to ask/beg that they alter the MOT. If I'm lucky, they will re-issue via the post; if I'm not, they will call me in and re-test the Cordy completely.
Existing Cordy MOT runs out today so technically if I get stopped by the police from tomorrow onwards I'm driving without an MOT. That would normally be ok as I could use the S3 whilst this was sorted, but unfortunately the S3 has a split power steering pipe so is peeing PAS fluid all over the place. The part is on order and I can't get it fixed until 6th June.
Grrr.
