Rattle from boot area of car

Is there any technique adjusting the striker plate or is it just trial and error?

Slacken the torx bits a half turn then tap the plate down a millimeter or two and re-tighten. Just tap the plate with a hammer or spanner. 30 second job.

Ive had the rattle come back so i thought i'd have another look.

Turned out to be the locator pin in the spare wheel tray rattling off the jack holder.

And i also found the mud guard on the drivers side loose too. For now the rattles have stopped.

I've just noticed the plastic on the tailgate is rubbing on the plastic trim around the lip of the boot at the bottom, hmm think I'll try adjust the plate.

Ah, bump stops seemed to be wound in tight, unscrewed them half a turn and I don't seem to get rattling anymore. Tailgate shouldn't rub on plastics/parcel shelf now.

Hhhhhmmmmmmm well ive got my car on Tuesday and have noticed this sort of noise too but i wouldnt say its a rattle its definately a sqeak like when i go over bumps in the road?

Do you think it could be the same thing?

mines not a rattle, more of a creaking noise

does it more when the cars hot, and sounds like the exhaust but its not and is definately clear of the heatshields

does it more when i'm just pulling off from standstill when the cars hot
